How Much Datalogged Information Can be Stored?
Each Sixlog file is allocated a fixed amount of memory. Each record typically contains a time stamp (4 bytes), analog values (2 bytes each), and discrete values (8 per byte). The size of the record is automatically computed and displayed for you by the Sixlog software. The overall storage time (until the oldest data in a full file is overwritten by new data) is computed as:
Longest storage = (file size) x (capture interval) / (bytes per record)

Example:

  • 16 analog values plus a time stamp ( 32 + 4 = 36 bytes) are logged every 5 minutes into a 400K file.
  • Oldest data = 400,000 (approx) x 5 minutes / 36 bytes/record = 55,555 Minutes (38 days)
By default, the VersaTRAK® IPm2m has more than 400K for datalogging.

Adding I/O modules to a VersaTRAK IPm2m Industrial RTU
  • Any combination of EtherTRAK-2 , EtherTRAK and RemoteTRAK I/O modules can be connected to a VersaTRAK® IPm2m
  • A single VersaTRAK® IPm2m supports up to 256 EtherTRAK and/or RemoteTRAK I/O.

Why VersaTRAK® IPm2m Instead of other Sixnet Controllers?

  • VersaTRAK® IPm2m offers 32 Megabytes of fast dynamic memory and 64 Megabytes of Flash disk.
  • VersaTRAK® IPm2m includes bundled software applications (AGA gas calculations and DNP-3 time stamped communications) for the utility industries make your job easier.
  • VersaTRAK® IPm2m offers built-in I/O, Ethernet and up to four serial ports.
  • The embedded LINUX operating system in the VersaTRAK® IPm2m offers greater programming flexibility and performance than the legacy VersaTRAK / Mini-VersaTRAK RTUs.
